Plant in full sun to part shade in a well-drained soil and irrigate occasionally to infrequently. Should prove hardy to moderate frost and temperatures down to 15°F and useful in gardens down to USDA Zone 8. This newer cultivar should prove to be useful in mass as a groundcover, an accent plant or in a container.

Lomandra 'Olive Green' is part of a series bred by Joseph Murray of Longview Plant Research that also includes a gray plant similar to Seascape and a unique bronze cultivar, but olive green one definitely the strongest grower. We first received plants of the Highlight Series in May 2017 through a trial with PlantHaven and was originally coded as 'Losgr-1'. It has proven to be a good plant in the landscape with a look similar to the ever-popular Lomandra longifolia Breeze, but smaller growing. .
