Agapanthus 'Rancho White' (Dwarf White Agapanthus) - This dwarf Agapanthus has foliage that only reaches 1 foot tall with narrower leaves than typical Agapanthus. It is very similar in stature as the cultivar 'Peter Pan', but has white flowers. It is semi-deciduous in that it is more likely to drop its leaves in cooler temperature than the larger A. orientalis varieties. We have long grown this plant under this name but note that in the 1980's this cultivar was considered to be confused in the trade and was also called 'Peter Pan 'White' - See more about this in our listing for Agapanthus 'Henderson's White'. Sun/Light Shade. Low watering needs, but looks better with moderate water. Hardy and nearly evergreen to about 20-25 degrees F.
The information about Agapanthus 'Rancho White' that is displayed on this web page is based on research conducted in our nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We will also include observations made about this plant as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens that we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We also incorporate comments that we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they share cultural information that aids others growing this plant.
