Sollya parviflora- [Sollya heterophylla forma parviflora]

Sollya parviflora
Sollya parviflora planted in San Marcos Growers garden

The plant we have long grown as Sollya parviflora is now considered to be a form of the Australian Bluebell Creeper (Sollya heterophylla) from which it differs by being more of a vine and having smaller leaves and much deeper blue flowers. This evergreen delicate twining vine from the Pittosporum family (Pittosporaceae) can grow to 6-8 ft. tall. The intensely dark blue flowers appear in summer and hang down and away from the foliage. Plant in part sun to light shade and water occasionally to infrequently. Hardy to 20-25 degrees F.
