Agave tequilana 'Lemeno' (Variegated Tequila Agave) - A medium large agave that grows to 5-6 feet tall with an open form rosette of long thin slightly concave gray-green leaves that have a narrow yellow variegation along the margins and are armored along these margins with small, sharp spines. Plant in full sun to light shade in well-drained soil with little to no supplemental irrigation required in coastal gardens. Hardy to 20-25°F. The species is used for making the distilled liquor Tequila in Mexico.
