Echeveria 'Powder Blue' (White Rose Echeveria) This attractive succulent freely offsets to form clusters of leafy rosettes to 1 foot wide with soft pale blue-green that are nearly flat on the upper surface but arch upwards towards the middle of the plant. These leaves are up to 6 inch long and 2 inches wide at the widest point near the pink-margined tips and have a waxy white coating. In summer appear the 1 foot tall stems that bend over with the weight of the large (for Echeveria) pink flowers. Plant in full sun to light shade in a well-drained soil. Hardy to around 25°F. This plant is listed as a hybrid of Echeveria subrigida in "Echeveria Cultivars" by Rudolph (Lorraine) Schulz and Attila Kapitany (Schulz Publishing, 2005) where it also notes that it is synonymous with 'White Rose' - the name 'Powder Blue' is applied to several different plants including one with large yellow flowers. Our plant from Longview Horticulture in Australia.
