Echeveria runyonii 'Turvy Topsy' - A fast growing rosette-forming succulent with pale pinkish gray leaves that curve upwards with leaf tips pointing inwards towards the center of the plant. We think this plant will be happiest if treated the same as other Echeveria runyonii cultivars by planting in a well-drained soil in full sun in coastal gardens with some light shade in hot climates and watered occasionally. Should prove hardy to about 25° F. Really not sure what all to say about this plant. For years we grew Echeveria runyonii 'Topsy Turvy' using our own propagation stock but in 2021 we brought in rooted cuttings purchased under this name from Dümmen Orange and the plant that came in, while quite attractive, is certainly NOT 'Topsy Turvy' (for comparison see our listing of 'Topsy Turvy') so in order to put it out in the field we needed a new name and came up with this. This plant has broader leaves that are not keeled like 'Topsy Turvey' and these leaves have a pink tint to the gray instead of the blue gray of 'Topsy Turvy'. It does look to be a Echeveria runyonii so we are guessing it will have the same pink tinged orange flowers in fall.

The information about Echeveria runyonii 'Turvy Topsy' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also include observations made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We will also incorporate comments we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant.
