Euphorbia 'Despina' PPAF - A small compact shrubby Euphorbia to 15 inches tall with blue-green leaves that turn burgundy purple with the cooler days of fall and winter. In late spring each stem is topped with flower heads of brilliant lime-yellow. Plant in full to part sun in a well-drained soils and irrigate little to ocassionally. This plant came from the German breeding program at InnovaPlant and was a seedling selection of the dwarf Euphorbia characias cultivar 'Humpty Dumpty'. Our plants came to us from EuroAmerican Propagators. We grew this plant only for one year in 2004.
The information about Euphorbia 'Despina' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also include observations made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We will also incorporate comments we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant. |
