x Sedeveria 'Green Rose' – A low growing succulent that forms a mat of 1 ˝ wide perfectly symmetrical and tight light green colored rosettes that resemble green rose flowers. In summer appear the bright yellow star shaped flowers on branched inflorescences that rise just above the foliage.

Plant in full coastal sun to light shade in a well-drained soil. This plant has proven hardy at least 25° F but likely is hardier - if you know how hardy this plant is please let us know. Great container plant. Looks very similar to Sedeveria x hummellii or 'Hummelii'.

Sedeveria 'Green Rose' is an older intergeneric hybrid made from a cross between, Echeveria derenbergii x Sedum palmeri. This parentage really makes more sense visually than how we originally listed it as a Sedum pachyphyllum and Echeveria derenbergii cross. It has been in the horticultural trade for many years as evidenced by its listing in Alfred Byrd Graf’s 1968 edition of Exotica.

We have grown this great small groundcover since 2007 and thank Carol Bornstein for sharing this gem of a plant with us.

The information about Sedeveria 'Green Rose' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also include observations made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We will also incorporate comments we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant.
