Anigozanthos 'Coral Pink' (Coral Pink Kangaroo Paw) - Evergreen perennial. Full sun. Low water needs. Big coral pink flowers in spring-fall. Grows to about 3' tall. Hardy to 25-30 degrees F. This cultivar is a hybrid between flavidus and humilis. It arose as a mutation from a variety called 'Suffuse' in 1996. 'Suffuse' was part of a Angnus Stuart's Kangaroo Paw Program at Sydney University that utilized the genetic lines of 'Bush Ranger' to produce numerous floriferous plants with dwarf stature. Other notable hybrids from this program were Suffuse (pink), Solace (yellowish), Sultan (orange) and Surouge (red).
The information about Anigozanthos 'Coral Pink' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also include observations made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We will also incorporate comments we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant. |
