Agave americana var. medio-picta 'Dwarf Alba' (Dwarf White-Striped Century Plant) - A medium sized century plant to 2 to 3 feet tall by 3 to 4 feet wide with a bold greenish cream central stripe and blue green margins. As with the species there are recurved spines on the margins and a long terminal spine. Yellow-green flowers attract hummingbirds, however the Century Plant doesn't bloom until it is a decade or so old (not a century!) and the plant dies after flowering. Plant in full sun. Irrigate occasionally to not at all. Cold hardy to 15 degrees F. This was a vegetartive sport found by one of our customers in our crops of Agave americana var. medio picta 'Alba . It is a smaller plant with shorter leaves that are more reflexed under with a narrower central white band.

The information about Agave americana var. medio-picta 'Dwarf Alba' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources.
