Yucca gloriosa var. recurvifolia 'Gold Ribbons' - A variegated selection of Yucca gloriosa var. recurvifolia, a plant native to the southeastern US (from Mississippi east to Georgia where it overlaps the range of Y. gloriosa). The typical non-variegated form grows to 6' tall with wide pliant blue-green leaves in large terminal rosettes at the tips of the branching stems. This beautiful selection has leaves that are a butterscotch gold color highlighted with dark green margins. In late spring into summer appear the dangling large white flowers that rise above the foliage on upright 3-foot-tall stems.
Plant in full sun to light shade in a fairly well-drained soil and irrigate occasionally in summer months - can tolerate more water if soil drains. Hardy to 10-15 F. Remove the older tattered leaves to show off the trunk.

We grew this nice yucca from 2007 until 2010 and only stopped growing it when we were able to get the even showier Yucca Bright Star into production in good numbers.
