Echeveria 'Giant Blue Curls' - We really don't know much about this cultivar but when Longview Horticulture, the laboratory that was supplying us with Echeveria 'Blue Curls', told us they were no longer producing this plant but instead were able to supply 'Giant Blue Curls, we decided to see what it is all about. Presumably it will be similar but larger. Echeveria 'Blue Curls', a beautiful old cultivar attributed either to Frank Reinelt or Harry Butterfield, is a mostly solitary plant with rosettes to 10 inches wide with frilly edged blue-green leaves that take on showy pink hues in spring and fall and produces reddish-pink flowers well spaced along long stalks in summer. Plant in full sun to light shade in a well-drained soil. Hardy to around 25°F. Image from Longview Horticulture.

The information about Echeveria 'Giant Blue Curls' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources. We also include observations made about it as it grows in our nursery gardens and other gardens we have visited, as well how the crops have performed in containers in our nursery field. We will also incorporate comments we receive from others and welcome hearing from anyone with additional information, particularly if they can share cultural information that would aid others in growing this plant.
