x Mangave 'Spotty Dotty' PP29,917 (Spotty Dotty Mangave) - A very attractive succulent plant with rosettes to 10 inches tall by up to 3 feet wide with 3 inch wide blue-green leaves that are heavily spotted with dark burgundy that are slightly wavy and folded slightly upwards with the margins edged with small reddish orange soft teeth and a long soft terminal spine.
Plant in full to half day sun in a well-drained soil and give occasional to regular irrigation. It is cold hardy to around 25° F and suitable to USDA Zones 9,10 and 11. Other Mangave have been noted to be resistant to deer and rabbit predation and this one might be as well.
Mangave 'Spotty Dotty' is a 2017 introduction in the Walters Gardens MAD ABOUT MANGAVEŽ Collection of plants. It is a hybrid was created by Hans Hansen at Walters Gardens in Zeeland Michigan that is the result of crossing A. pablocarrilloi (AKA Agave gypsophila, Hort.) with Agave bovicornuta and Manfreda maculosa.
