Hemerocallis 'Betty Woods' (Betty Woods Daylily) - This is an evergreen variety with 5 1/2 inch wide double-yellow slightly-fragrant flowers held on 26" scapes. It is an early season bloomer and reblooms. This deserving daylily was awarded the Ida Munson Award in 1983, the Award of Merit in 1987, and daylily's highest award, the Stout Silver Medal, in 1991. The Stout Silver Medal is given by the American Horticultural Society in memory of Dr. Arlow Burdette Stout, father of modern daylily breeding in North America. 'Betty Woods' is a 1980 David Kirchhoff hybrid that was the result of several crosses [(( Winning Ways x Sdlg) x Keith Kennon) x Cosmic Treasure].
The information about Hemerocallis 'Betty Woods' displayed on this web page is based on our research conducted in the nursery's horticultural library and from reliable online resources.
