  Nursery Gardens
Border Garden   Astelia and New Zealand Flax mingle with ornamental grasses, large shrubs and palms in the nurseries main garden. This garden has been featured in Garden Design, Sunset Magazine, Pacific Horticulture, and Pacific Coast Nurseryman.
Mediterranean Garden   The garden around the San Marcos Growers Accounting office is filled with plants from areas with a mediterranean climate. Shrubs include Lavender, Sage, Rosemary, Teucrium, Rhamnus, Westringia and Grevillea. Also featured in this garden are many stately grass specimens.
Bamboo Garden   See the Bamboo planted in the nursery gardens and around Santa Barbara. Bamboo is planted in the nursery not only for demonstration purposes but also for propagation stock - just wait until the Dendrocalamus reaches full size!
Flax Garden   Visit our New Zealand flax test field and see these cultivars planted in our gardens. In the 1990's we grew propagation stock for the new hybrids of Phormium in a one acre field that allowed us to determine the ultimate height and cultural needs of these showy perennials.
Grass Gardens   Grasses bind the garden together and we use a lot of them in our gardens. Ranging in size and culture from the large tropical Tiger Grass to the small Veld Grass, this group of plants has been planted extensively throughout our gardens.
Vine Gardens   Vines are one of our specialties and we have planted them anywhere we can. All fences and many building walls are planted out with these useful and showy plants.
Water Garden   We love our aquatic plants and finally got the opportunity to show them off in this pond we built in 2005 next to our Sales office.
Yarrow Lawn   Here's a good solution for you if you want to replace a thirsty lawn grass and it's showy too! Planted in 1991 this planting of Achillea millefolium has proved itself.
  Other Gardens
San Francisco Zoo   The garden at the entrance to the Savanna at the San Francisco Zoo has lots of our African plants in it.
Lotusland Gardens   Some of our images with information of some of the mystical and enchanted gardens at Ganna Walska Lotusland.
Ruth Bancroft Botanic Garden   This garden, with incredible plants, has a mission to preserve and develop its collection of water-conserving plants for the education and enjoyment of the public.
