Marsilea minuta (Aquatic) (Miniature Water Clover) - This small Marsilea only grows to a couple inches high and prefers growing on saturated soil to very shallow water. The tiny leaflets are unequal in size with the outer ones being somewhat larger. An attractive feature is the marking on the leaflet. At the base there is a small light colored oval that has at its inner side a darker dot. This could possibly be used effectively at the base of bonsai specimens. It is hardy to about 20 degrees F.
