Nelumbo nucifera (Aquatic) (Lotus) - Aquatic plant which holds its large (around 1') velvety green leaves about 3 or more feet above the water. The large pink flowers are held above the foliage. Goes dormant in the cold months and requires water temperatures in the 75-85° F range for 2 months to prosper.
